Reduction rates and programmed maintenance

Teréga Transport maintenances publication is available via the operational page “Transport maintenances and reductions” in Teréga portal.

According to the  CRE deliberation of 26 October 2017 for the Trading Region France, maintenance works on the Teréga and GRTGaz networks are expressed as restrictions according to the following rules:

  • if the work affects one point in particular, the capacity restriction is related to the corresponding point (see local maintenance publications);

  • if the work is located on GRTgaz’s northern network (limits N1, N2, N3, NS1), the restriction is related to the superpoints upstream of the limit (see GRTgaz publications);

  • if the work is located on GRTgaz’s southern network or Terega’s network  (limits NS2, NS3, NS4, EO2, S1), the restriction is related to the superpoints downstream of the corresponding  limits (see maintenance on TRF limits publications) unless the exit capacities of the superpoints are insufficient to accept the restriction rates. In this case, the rates will be applied on the upstream superpoint.

These types of reduction may be simultaneous.

On the the map below, you can see the limits in case of flows from East to West related to 2020 maintenances.

Starting on 1 April 2020, Montoir will be upstream of the limits EO2, NS2 and NS3.

The maintenance schedule is published on the EO2 and S1 limits, which makes it possible to optimize the available firm capacity and avoid the rate switches NS3/EO2 and NS4/S1 that occured in 2019.

Maximum and probable rate calculations take into account LNG arrival assumptions at Fos (min 30 / max 150) and Montoir (min 30 / Max 100). Depending on actual arrivals, rates may be updated.

The published rates on the EO2 and S1 limits impact the exits at the PITTL-PIRINEOS and PITSL points.

In addition, no interruptible capacity at PITTL Pirineos or PITSL is offered for sale during maintenances on local points or on the limits affecting the point.

On reduction days, Teréga applies optimization principles (transfers, UBI, communicating vessels, optimizations). In the case of downstream superpoint reductions corresponding to the EO2 limit, you will be able to nominate a transfer of your capacities in the superpoint between GRTgaz and Teréga sub-superpoints. The available capacity is mutualized on the points of the superpoint and accessible by over-nomination for allocation of quantities as optimization and UBI.

Annual publication of reduction rates

The published days on the portal correspond to rates in the form of a maximum and probable rate range calculated on marketable capacities and appear in the form of grey cells until the update to M-2 (on subscribed capacities) is completed. Popup information on the cell allows to visualize the interrupted marketable capacity.

The summary of the annual publication made in October 2019 for the year 2020 has been updated on the 2020-03-02 and  is available as an XLS file: Transport work schedule 2020 EN.xlsx.

This maintenance program is engaging.

Updates from M-2 and up to D-1

Teréga publishes the daily reduction rates on subscribed capacities in the form of a maximum and probable rate range.

The rates are updated in a range up to D-5 and as an effective rate at D-1.

Note: The publication of the Teréga storage maintenance program is also accessible on the Operational page “Storage maintenances and reduction” via the Teréga Portal.
