Rate of reduction and programmed maintenance

According to the  CRE deliberation of 26 October 2017 for the Trading Region France, maintenance works on the Teréga and GRTGaz networks are expressed as restrictions according to the following rules:

  • if the work affects one point in particular, the capacity restriction is related to the corresponding point;

  • if the work is located on GRTgaz’s northern network (limits N1, N2, N3, NS1 described in paragraph 2.3.4), the restriction is related to the superpoints upstream of the limit;

  • if the work is located on GRTgaz’s southern network or Terega’s network  (limits NS2, NS3, NS4, S1 described in paragraph 2.3.4), the restriction is related to the superpoints downstream of the corresponding  limits unless the exit capacities of the superpoints are insufficient to accept the restriction rates. In this case, the rates will be applied on the upstream superpoint.

These types of reduction may be simultaneous.

You can see the limits in case of flows from North to South on the map below:

Annual publication of rates of reduction on a monthly time step

The data at the monthly step is published in November on the interconnection points according to the ENTSOG recommendations, namely the PITT Pirineos and the PITS for Teréga. This maintenance program is non-engaging.

This data can be downloaded by clicking on the link below:

Since February, the engaging maintenance program is published on Datagas, see the link below.

Note: In the TRF framework, the restriction rates are published on superpoints. In order to translate the superpoint publication mode  into impacts on the PITT and PITS, Teréga applies on each point  the maximum rate of all rates applied on the superpoints downstream of the limits.

Data are then aggregated at a monthly level.

Publication of the rates of reduction on a daily time step

Each month Teréga publishes the daily rates of capacity reduction for the month M+2 in the form of a maximum-minimum range.

  • if the work affects one point in particular, the capacity restriction is published for the corresponding point

  • if the work is located on GRTgaz’s southern network or Terega’s network, the capacity restriction is published for the corresponding limit.

These rates are updated as a range up to D-5 and as an effective rate on D-1.

This publication of the rate of reduction is directly accessible from DATAGAS.

Note:

The publication of the Teréga storage centre maintenance is not impacted by these changes and is still accessible by clicking on this link.
