Biomethane in TIGF pipelines

Pau, to March 30, 2015

The first contract of connexion and Biomethane injection in the natural gas network was signed on March 17th, 2015 between TIGF and the industrialist BIOVILLENEUVOIS. The latter belongs to the Fonroche group specialized up to now in the production of photovoltaic panels, based in Roquefort, close to Agen and established by Yann Maus in 2008. The construction of its unit of methanization started in Villeneuve sur Lot (47 ) in October 2014.

400 m3(n)/h of biomethane will be produced from farm, agribusinesses and food processing byproducts and will be valorized by injecting it in the network of TIGF to allow its sale to gas suppliers and its consumers.

This signature marks a new milestone for both partners. The studies and the permitting procedure led by TIGF since last October for the obtaining of the necessary construction and operation authorization will still continue till the middle of 2015. The production unit, the connexion and the injection in the transport network should be operational for the end of 2015.
