TGIF launches studies on a gas interconnection on the east Pyrenees between France and Spain

These studies (conceptual and engineering study project / FEED Front End Engineering Design) are designed to assess the interest of a new interconnection with Spain. This infrastructure development project is expected to enhance the gas service of the Languedoc-Roussillon and Midi-Pyrénées regions and meet the energy policy of Europe.

They are part of a multi-year program to strengthen our national and regional gas networks to meet our public service mission.

TIGF has received the support of the European Commission through the signing of a grant agreement Wednesday, April 6, 2016, in Brussels. TIGF is in charge of analyzing and evaluating technical infrastructure solutions.

Declared a European’s common interest project, it is enrolled in the achievement of the Union of Energy and the willingness to contribute to the flow of trade in Europe and gas supply security.

This project was named South Transit East Pyrenees.

TIGF has initiated a process of exchange and field meeting with aim to conduct these studies in accordance with our commitment to ensure the quality of work, safety and environmental friendliness.
