Teréga contributes to research projects for understanding the hydrogeological operation of the deep aquifers in the south of the Aquitaine basin with the project GAIA1. This research calls upon various earth sciences disciplines (geology, geophysics, hydrogeology, and hydrogeochemistry. 

To this end, the research is conducted in partnership with the BRGM1, the AEAG2, the ENSEGID3 and the University of Rennes. The results of this research will be made available to other operators using the aquifer by 2018, with a view to the joint and harmonious management of this natural resource.
